A Korean manufacturer has unveiled a new generation of its city hatchback under the name 2021 Hyundai i10. It reaches its customers in the first half of 2020 with a starting price of £12,495. The main competitors in the market will be Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1 ad Volkswagen Up! Above all, the third-generation model should be one of the most comprehensive safety equipment packages in the class.
Hyundai i10 Changes
Marketing the slogan ”Exterior design emphasizes innovative style, while reflecting accessibility, comfort and comfort”. Large front grille with round LED daytime running lights and lowered roof with extended body give a new visual appearance to the new generation. Standard equipment include 14-inch steel wheels with hub caps while optional can got 16-inch aluminum wheels.
2021 Hyundai i10 Interior
An increased wheelbase of 40 mm brought more room in the cabin. It will be felt by the passengers, but also by the increased trunk of 252 liters. A lot of advancements come with a security system where we have a rear camera and parking sensors. Above all, they add Hyundai SmartSense’s active safety and driving assistance feature. Standard equipment include leather-trimmed steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity, DAB radio with 3.8-inch display, manual air conditioning etc.

Under the hood coming two petrol engine. Weaker is 1.0 L MPI three-cylinder with 67 horses and up to 156 km/h maximum speed. It’s provide 96 N/m of torque with 101 g/km of CO2 emission. Fuel consumption is 56.5 mpg.
Stronger is 1.2 L four-cylinder with 84 horses and 171 km/h maximum speed. It’s provide 118 N/m of torque with 105 g/km of CO2 emission. However, fuel consumption are 55,4 mpg.
In both cases, the transmission is powered by a five-speed manual or automatic transmission. There will be environmental features such as ECO Pack and Idle Stop and Go.
Release Date and Price
New generation sales are first starting in the UK with a price of £12,495 rising to £15,495. Sales are possible from January 2020, while they reach the other markets by mid-year. Buyers for £1,000 more receive Hyundai’s Tech Pack (satellite navigation, wireless smartphone charger and intelligent speed limit warning system). In addition Metallic or Pearlescent paint costs an additional £550.
