Upcoming 98th edition of the Brussels Motor Show help Opel to introduce restyled 2021 Opel Insignia. The German company has for the first time selected Belgium as the place of Insignia promotion. The 2021 edition has minimal changes for Grand Sport sedan and Sports Tourer station wagon. For now Country Tourer edition will not be presented in Brussels, they expect it in the second half of the year.
2021 Opel Insignia Mild Changes
Changes in design are very small and this is expected if we know that the current second generation is only 2 years old. All the changes suggest that the designer’s primary desire was to give more coupe look that appeals to younger buyers. A rear view reveals a new exhaust system and redesigned bumper. Look from front can notice mild changes in bumper, grille and headlights.
2021 Opel Insignia Interior changes?
A surprising decision to release exterior images in the media, but there are no announcements from the cabin. However, rumors from the company announce an upgraded multimedia system and a new wireless smartphone charger. This is not bad news since the price will not change.
Engine options stay same
Insignia is known for its wide range of gasoline and diesel engines. The second generation offers 1.5 L and 2.0 L petrol engine with 4 cylinders and 3.6 L V-6 as most powerful in gasoline line. Diesel line include 1.6 L and 2.0 L both 4 cylinders engine. Power transmission is possible via a six-speed manual transmission and an automatic transmission available 6, 8 and 9 speed version. All of them should remain part of the offers, and so far no information has emerged that we will see anything new.
